Yes, this IS the best thing named Raptor.
Also, Ford can’t sell it to people who will do 40 ft jumps off of it, bend the frame and then send it back on a warranty claim.

I do love the Raptor. I heard a radio reporter yesterday saying they were deploying the, “New F22 Raptor.” It made me chuckle because I have a diecast model of the YF22 that I got as a kid over 20 years ago.

On the F-22, the software has always been a bit of a mess, with the navigation computer needing to be reset periodically (shockingly, requiring everyone to use Ada does not instantly produce a bunch of people who know how to write good, high-reliability code in Ada). Beyond that the stealth coatings do require some special care. Other than that it’s pretty normal for a fighter.
